Abstract
Opinnäytetyö käsittelee tekstiili- ja vaatealan lähituotantoa, kaukotuotantoa ja vastuullisia materiaaleja. Tarkoituksena on selvittää suomalaisen tuotannon kannattavuutta kaukotuotantoon verrattuna sekä saada tietoa Suomen tuotantomahdollisuuksista. Tarkoituksena on myös selvittää kyselyllä lähituotannon merkityksellisyys tuotemerkin kohderyhmälle sekä tutustua vastuullisiin materiaaleihin ja selvittää, mikä materiaali olisi juuri nyt paras vaihtoehto tekniseen vaatteeseen. Opinnäytetyöhön on kerätty yhteen tietopaketti lähituotannon toteuttamisesta ja sen kannattavuuden arvioimisesta. \n \nTutkimusmenetelmänä tässä opinnäytetyössä toimii tapaustutkimus. Aineistonhakumenetelminä toimivat kyselytutkimus sekä kolme asiantuntijahaastattelua. Dokumenttianalyysiä on käytetty taustatiedon ja tutkimuksen näkökulmien etsimisessä. \n \nOpinnäytetyön tuloksena selviää, että kotimaisen tuotannon ja tuotteiden kysyntä on nousussa, mutta teollista vaatetuotantoa on Suomessa melko vähän. Suomen vaate- ja kangasteollisuudella on yhteiskunnallista merkitystä etenkin huoltovarmuuden kannalta. Suomen vaateteollisuuden suurimmiksi haasteiksi nousi ompelutaitoisen työvoiman puute sekä teollisen ompelukoulutuksen puuttuminen. Suomalaisen tuotannon arvostus ja merkityksellisyys tuotemerkin kohderyhmän sisällä ovat korkealla. Tulokset osoittavat kuitenkin, ettei moni osaa arvioida Suomessa tuotetun vaatteen hintaa tai ole valmis maksamaan sen edellyttämää hintaa. Työssä selvitettiin myös ajankohtaisten kriisien vaikutukset kaukotuotantoon ja kuljetuksiin. Myös sopiva materiaali ja lähituotantopaikka treeniliiville selvitettiin. Tutkimuksen tulokset hyödyttävät etenkin Finneroa ja muita yrityksiä, jotka suunnittelevat tuotantonsa siirtämistä mahdollisimman lähelle.
