Muchos videojuegos tratan de emular de forma lúdica mundos reales mediante experiencias virtuales parecidas. En los de temática deportiva, es habitual que algunos de ellos reproduzcan narrativamente un modelo audiovisual como si se tratara de una retransmisión televisiva en directo. Además, desde los videojuegos se han ido experimentado nuevos puntos de vista y otros elementos que posteriormente adoptará el lenguaje televisivo en la realización audiovisual de muchos deportes. Del mismo modo, los grandes eventos deportivos cuentan cada vez más con videojuegos oficiales, fruto de acuerdos entre las principales compañías desarrolladoras de entretenimiento digital y los organizadores de cada evento, como un componente estratégico más para su difusión comercial. Este trabajo forma parte de una investigación más amplia que analiza las influencias mutuas entre videojuegos y televisión en el diseño audiovisual de contenidos deportivos. El objetivo principal del mismo es reconocer sus rasgos distintivos tanto de un punto de vista técnico como narrativo. El estudio aquí presentado se ha basado en un análisis comparativo entre la retransmisión televisiva y el videojuego oficial en torno a tres disciplinas deportivas específicas: ciclismo, motociclismo y fútbol. Los resultados del mismo han permitido determinar no sólo el nivel de dependencia alcanzado en la actualidad entre la televisión y los videojuegos sino a la vez vislumbrar nuevas sinergias entre ambos lenguajes en la construcción audiovisual de los mensajes deportivos.
