Abstract
Esta tesis se desarrolló para una industria alimenticia de Guayaquil; la misma que corporativamente tiene desarrollado directrices a nivel global para alinearse al cumplimiento en lo definido en el Protocolo de Montreal, para poder de ésta manera interactuar de forma amigable con el medio ambiente. Se realizó una descripción del contenido del Protocolo de Montreal para conocer los acuerdos y recomendaciones en el uso de los distintos tipos de refrigerantes con sus respectivas fechas límites. También, se realizó una descripción de las áreas, equipos de climatización y refrigeración, y de la red de agua helada actual. Se hizo un cálculo de cargas térmicas tomando en cuenta cantidad de personas, lámparas o luminarias del sector, motores eléctricos, carga solar a través del techo y por paredes. Se dimensionaron las redes de tuberías de agua helada, se verificó la capacidad actual de los equipos enfriadores de agua, que usan Freón R–22 de la Planta y el consumo de energía eléctrica actual.
