Corey Kluber gives up career high 13 hits Two former Cy Young Award winners get clobbered. Here's a brief look around the American League. The reigning AL Cy Young winner, Cleveland Indians starter Corey Kluber, was roughed up by the Chicago White Sox in a 6-0 Indians loss. He gave up a career high 13 hits and allowed 6 runs--3 of which were batted in by Sox first baseman Jose Abreu. The 2012 winner, Detroit Tigers starter David Price, had an even worse night. He gave up 8 runs in less than 3 innings in a 13-4 Tigers loss to the New York Yankees. Staying in the AL Central, the Kansas City Royals shut out the Minnesota Twins 3-0. In the AL East, the Tampa Bay Rays rallied past the Boston Red Sox 7-5. The Toronto Blue Jays handed the Baltimore Orioles a third straight loss, 4-2. In the AL West, the Oakland A's racked up 18 hits in a 9-2 win over the L-A Angels. And the Seattle Mariners edged the Houston Astros 3-2.
