Abstract
The "Canadian Century" was built in 1967 at the Port Weller Dry Docks in Port Weller, Ontario. She was owned by Upper Lakes Shipping, Ltd. of Toronto, Ontario until 2011. In 2011, she was purchased by Algoma Central of St. Catharines, Ontario. She was of 20,343 gross ton. In 2002, her name was changed to "John D. Leitch." Her self-unloading system was replaced at Port Colborne, Ontario in 1976.
