Abstract
The experience described in this article was developed in the 3rd quarter of 2016 in a municipal school of Infant and Elementary Education located in the peripheral region of Santo André (SP), next to the classes of the 5th year of Elementary School. It is a pedagogical experience that study the funk. About the results, the children made good use of the internet tool researching funk, understood that boys and girls can experience the gestures of this body together and the evangelical students understood that in school it is possible to participate in all the dances without disrupting the guidelines of their religion.
