Abstract

ABSTRACT: «ABSTRACT:This master thesis addresses the issue of integrated affordability of residential locations and its implications for housing choices, transportation costs and daily mobility. In the current context, access to home ownership is increasingly difficult for households, forcing them to make trade-offs that distance them from their main places of activity. This leads to greater dependence on the car and higher transport costs. These trade-offs also contribute to urban sprawl, with environmental, economic, and social consequences. However, transport costs are often overlooked by households when choosing where to live, which can have long-term financial consequences. It is therefore crucial to inform households about the long-term effects of their residential location choices, and to raise their awareness of commuting costs. The literature review looks at methods and approaches to the simultaneous consideration of transport and housing costs, which is essential for understanding households' residential location choices. The first part of the literature review deals with the emergence of the notion of residential cost, i.e. the simultaneous consideration of housing and daily mobility expenses, when studying the affordability of a residence. It emphasizes that transportation costs have a strong influence on residential costs, and that taking them into account can reverse the ranking of certain inner-city and suburban neighborhoods in terms of accessibility and affordability. The second part looks at how the phenomenon of residential relocation revolves around household characteristics, needs and desires. Indeed, to meet the challenge of reducing the footprint of daily travel, a sustainable solution would be to propose strategies that affect the spatial-temporal structure of travel, by addressing the issue of residential location. The final part of the paper presents the state of the art in terms of existing tools for dealing with the notion of residential cost, as it is necessary to be able to communicate to households the impact of their choice of residential location.»

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
