From the Jamaican bobsled team to the Fosbury Flop, athletes show there are no boundaries at the Olympic Games. The impossible's possible, at the Olympic Games..It's been proven time and again.....most recently in Rio when Jamaican Usain Bolt became the first sprinter to win three straight Olympic 100-meter titles.He admits he came to Rio to prove he's the greatest ever.(cut)He's not the only athlete from Jamaica to prove you can do what you set your mind too...You may remember the 19-88 Jamaican bobsled team which made its debut at the Winter Games in Calgary.The story was so unusual, it even inspired the 1993 movie "Cool Runnings."(cut)The team ended up losing control of its sled and crashing in the actual Games.In the movie, which is loosely based on the team, they ended up walking their bobsled to the finish line.(cut)The team paved the way for their tropical country to participate in a winter Olympic sport....and the Jamaican national bosled team's has since returned to other Olympic Games.There're many other stories of seemingly impossible feats being conquered at the Games.....with world records beings broken time and again.There was American Dick Fosbury, who in the 60's changed the high jump ...using a back-first technique, now called the "Fosbury Flop" which is now used by almost everyone in the sport today....and of course, there's U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps - the most decorated Olympic athlete of all time.He's won 28 medals in all, including 23 gold medals...Where he keeps them all, is anyone's guess.(cut)After Rio, athletes will set their sights next on the 2018 Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.I'm JO, and this is Rivet.
