Abstract
Six teams are listed behind them at 12 to 1 odds to be champions in 2016, including the current champs, the Kansas City Royals. Maybe next year really IS next year for the Chicago Cubs. Online sports book Bovada is listing the Cubs as the early favorites to win the 2016 World Series at 11 to 1 odds. Considering the team made a surprising run to the National League Championship Series this season with core of young hitters who are all set to return, there are plenty of reasons to think the Cubs will win it all for the first time since 1908. But they're not strong favorites. , the NL champs,the New York Mets, along with the L-A Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays, and Washington Nationals. Not surprisingly, the worst team in the majors this season, the Philadelphia Phillies, face the longest odds to win it all in 2016 at 200 to 1.
