Abstract
Quand on entend parler de l'écriture migrante, Sergio Kokis est un nom récurrent dans le corpus littéraire puisque ses oeuvres sont déterminées par son expérience migratoire. Le pavillon des miroirs est le premier roman de Sergio Kokis où les deux mondes et les deux imaginaires typiques de la littérature migrante sont intégrés. Son narrateur voit sa vie changer à travers les miroirs du souvenir, où les événements du passé sont évoqués et reflétés à partir d’un présent et d’un milieu qui lui restent étrangers. Le récit témoigne de la dualité qui habite le narrateur en raison de la rupture existentielle dans sa vie, créée par un exil intérieur, le déracinement et finalement le déplacement du Brésil au Québec. La mise en scène du roman nous montre ce caractère double du narrateur, caractéristique renforcée par son statut d’altérité. Le passé et le présent, l’ici et l’ailleurs, la friction entre le soi et l’autre produisent chez le narrateur une mutation identitaire constante, témoignant d’une l’hybridité identitaire qui résulte de la quête de son identité. Dans ce mémoire, je présenterai quelques notions théoriques qui me permettront d'aborder certaines manifestations d’hybridité du roman, analyser la fonction de la langue, des tableaux et de la psychanalyse pour communiquer l'imaginaire et le réel.
