Abstract
SITELLE est le nouveau spectromètre imageur à transformée de Fourier qui doit être installé au Télescope Canada-France-Hawaii. Le développement de son modèle de performance a permis d’évaluer les paramètres instrumentaux qui sont critiques par rapport aux exigences scientifiques. D’une part, une configuration hors-axe à miroirs plans a été sélectionnée pour répondre plus facilement à l’exigence de haute efficacité dans le proche ultraviolet. D’autre part, les critères d’asservissement ont été définis afin de concevoir un instrument limité par le bruit de photons pour une scène pertinente donnée. Ces performances doivent être maintenues pendant une acquisition totale de 4h sous des vibrations opérationnelles et toute vibration extérieure comme des bourrasques de vent sur le télescope. Enfin, le modèle de performance de SITELLE est au cœur du simulateur de rapport signal sur bruit qui permettra aux astrophysiciens d’évaluer les bénéfices potentiels de l’utilisation de ce spectromètre imageur pour leurs sujets d’études.
