Abstract
Il saggio, con l'ausilio di documentazione archivistica e grafica inedita (una cartella di disegni ed una relazione conservati presso l'Archivio di Stato di Bologna), ripercorre le vicende del palazzo Spada a Montegiordano in Roma e dei suoi mutamenti di funzione nel tempo, da banco papale a residenza degli Spada, fino alla proposta settecentesca, rimasta però inattuata, di utilizzarlo quale sede dell'ambasciata bolognese a Roma.
