Abstract
La cuestión de la vivienda es un eje narrativo fundamental para entender las diferentes dimensiones de la crisis en España. En primer lugar, representa, dentro del más amplio sector de la construcción, la pieza central de un modelo económico hiperespeculativo condenado a derrumbarse. En segundo lugar, la cuestión de los desahucios se ha convertido en uno de los aspectos más visibles de la crisis social. Por último, provoca un movimiento social que juega un papel fundamental dentro de la crisis de representación política. El presente texto articula estas dimensiones del problema en el contexto de la crisis española, haciendo énfasis en la profundidad histórica de los factores que dan lugar a la misma y en la relevancia de los movimientos sociales en la coyuntura actual. Se propone que la falta de respuesta institucional a la problemática y demandas sociales responde, en parte, a la ausencia de una crítica del modelo de producción del hábitat fraguado desde la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Para respaldar este argumento, el texto hace un seguimiento del movimiento contra los desahucios en Andalucía, complementado con referencias a otras regiones del Estado.
