En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se ha querido estudiar la evolución de un conjunto de fondos de inversión de Renta Fija a lo largo de un determinado periodo de tiempo. Nos hemos centrado para este estudio en el periodo comprendido entre comienzos de 2019 y la actualidad, marzo de 2023, puesto que resulta interesante comprobar como ciertas situaciones como lo fue por ejemplo la vivida en marzo-abril del 2020 (comienzo de la pandemia) así como las variaciones en los tipos de interés, motivan la volatilidad de este tipo de activos. El objetivo del estudio ha sido motivado por la propia evolución de este tipo de activos, ya que han ido ganando popularidad en los últimos años hasta convertirse en uno de los activos financieros preferidos por los inversores de un perfil más conservador. Esto último ha sido en parte, gracias a la educación financiera, la cual también ha evolucionado. Sin embargo, sigue habiendo conceptos que dan lugar a confusión, como puede ser el pensar que invertir en renta fija es sinónimo de evitar por completo el riesgo, y como veremos posteriormente en este trabajo, esto no es así. Es por ello que, trabajando la parte empírica de este estudio junto con conceptos económicos desarrollados de manera más teórica, se consigue tanto el objetivo de análisis planteado, así como ampliar el conocimiento sobre distintos conceptos de estos activos.
