L’Institution Kiuna est un centre d’études collégiales autonome, situé à Odanak, dans le Centre-du-Québec. Créé en 2011, à la suite d’une initiative du Conseil en éducation des Premières Nations - donc pour et par ces dernières, le collège vise à faciliter l’accès des Autochtones aux études postsecondaires tout en valorisant les réalités linguistique, culturelle et sociale de ceux-ci. En offrant, entre autres, des formations en sciences humaines, qui recoupent des disciplines comme l’histoire, la politique et la littérature autochtones - locales ou internationales, l’établissement veille à former des personnes qui contribueront au développement de leur communauté. Kiuna renforce, de même, la conscience identitaire et le sentiment d’appartenance des apprenants, tout en véhiculant un modèle de réussite sociale auprès d’eux. L’Institution représente aujourd’hui 22 communautés issues de 8 nations différentes. Aussi compte-t-elle 69 étudiants à qui sont fournis un soutien pédagogique ainsi que divers services favorisant l’intégration au milieu scolaire, l’accompagnement, l’épanouissement et la fraternité. La plupart de ceux-ci sont prodigués par des Autochtones, ce qui tend à consolider l’esprit d’équipe et le sentiment de fierté tout autant des étudiants que du personnel.
