Xâm nhập mặn ảnh hưởng bất lợi đến sản xuất nông nghiệp và thu nhập của nông dân tại Thạnh Phú, Bến Tre. Vì thế, nghiên cứu cung cấp dinh dưỡng cân đối, cải thiện đặc tính đất nhiễm mặn, tăng năng suất cây trồng trên vùng đất nhiễm mặn là rất cần thiết thực hiện. Đề tài nghiên cứu nhằm đánh giá hiệu quả của bón phân hữu cơ và vôi trong cải thiện đặc tính đất nhiễm mặn và sinh trưởng của lúa trong điều kiện nhà lưới. Kết quả thí nghiệm cho thấy đất bị nhiễm mặn và mặn sodic khi bị ngập mặn với độ mặn 6? vào giai đọan cuối vụ trồng. Bón phân hữu cơ và vôi giúp, giảm nồng độ Na trao đổi và giảm ESP trong đất, đồng thời tăng đạm hữu dụng, lân dễ tiêu, kali trong đất. Tuy nhiên với độ mặn cao do ngập mặn 6?, cây lúa không thể phát triển. Trong điều kiện giảm độ mặn 5?, bón 5 T/ha phân hữu cơ và 0,5 T/ha vôi giúp cây lúa phát triển tốt, thành phần năng suất và năng suất lúa được cải thiện có ý nghĩa. Thí nghiệm cần được thực hiện tiếp trong điều kiện thực tế đồng ruộng.
