L’objectif de ce mémoire est de mesurer l’effet marginal du programme de télésoins à domicile sur les indicateurs de santé des femmes enceintes atteintes de diabète gestationnel et de leurs nouveau-nés. La présence de biais de sélection dans l’admission au programme de télésoins nous donne l’occasion de créer un groupe contrôle synthétique qui prend en compte ces biais. Nous utilisons plusieurs méthodes d’apprentissage automatique pour trouver un groupe comparable aux patientes qui ont été admises en télésoins et qui ont accouché entre le 1er avril 2016 et le 31 mars 2017 au Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal. Les résultats obtenus démontrent que le programme de télésoins à domicile diminue la probabilité de naître de faible poids de 7 points de pourcentage. De plus, nous estimons une économie de 50 157,25 $ lorsque la totalité des patientes dans les groupes contrôle et traitement adhère au programme pour l’année fiscale 2016-2017. Cette étude recommande un investissement plus important dans les programmes de télésoins pour la trajectoire de grossesse des femmes atteintes de diabète gestationnel. Cette suggestion ne devient que plus pertinente en présence de la COVID-19 qui a provoqué une augmentation de l’utilisation du programme de télésoins pour les patientes en trajectoire de grossesse au Québec.
