Abstract
Au moment où les acteurs sociaux et politiques ont pris conscience de l’importance du maintien des services de proximité pour assurer la vitalité des communautés dans plusieurs régions québécoises et notamment au Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, l’accessibilité des services de proximité s’est imposée comme une question importante pour les milieux ruraux. Le maintien des services de proximité concerne non seulement les villages dévitalisés qui perdent leurs services, mais aussi les villages ayant une grande vitalité économique et sociale qui se retrouvent tout de même dans une situation où leurs services de proximité diminuent peu à peu. Cette recherche a été réalisée à la demande de la MRC du Fjord-du-Saguenay[1] pour examiner l’accessibilité des services de santé des services sociaux et des services de proximité dans certains villages faisant partie du territoire de la MRC.
