A enfermagem da família é um conceito que tem vindo a desenvolver-se nos últimos 30 anos e o Modelos de Avaliação familiar de Calgary assim como o Modelo de Intervenção Familiar de Calgary segundo Wright e Leahey (2008) foram o ponto de partida para a reconstrução apresentada no Modelo Dinâmico de Avaliação e Intervenção Familiar (FIGUEIREDO, 2008). A implementação do gabinete de enfermagem no Centro Social do Cerco do Porto permitiu a aplicação deste Modelo através da metodologia do processo de enfermagem. Os estágios integrados nos Módulos I e II do curso de pós licenciatura e especialidade em Enfermagem Comunitária decorridos nos períodos de 20 Abril a 23 Junho de 2009 para o diagnóstico das necessidades e entre 06 de Outubro e 27 de Novembro de 2009 para a implementação do projecto intervenção, na Obra Diocesana de Promoção Social, permitiram a aquisição de competências nesta área da especialidade através do desenvolvimento da metodologia do planeamento em saúde em todas as suas fases segundo Tavares (1990).
