Abstract
Dr. Bynum Boley is an Associate Professor of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management at the University of Georgia. His research focuses on sustainable tourism and how the unique natural and cultural resources of tourism destinations jointly relate to resident quality of life and destination competitiveness. Dr. Evan Jordan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Wellness Design in the School of Public Health at Indiana University. His research focuses on the impacts of tourism on the physical and mental health of residents of host communities. He is particularly interested in tourism’s impact on stress, emotions, and quality of life and their implications for public health.
