Abstract
Esta tesis trata sobre el rol que juegan las organizaciones de la economía social y de la acción comunitaria en la lucha contra la inseguridad alimentaria en Montréal. Nosotros nos enfocamos en particular sobre las iniciativas desarrolladas por la organización Parole d’excluEs en el distrito de Montréal-Nord. La tesis muestra que este tipo de iniciativas moviliza toda suerte de recursos a través de acciones a menudo concertadas con la participación de diversas organizaciones locales convocados por la lucha contra la pobreza y la exclusión. Las iniciativas locales basadas en la economía social podrían así convertirse en la clave de un enfoque alternativo orientado a construir y poner en acción un sistema de alimentación para todos y, de este modo, mejorar la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos.
