Abstract
En el denominado «Cantal Gordo», a nueve kilómetros de Málaga, entre los pueblos costeros de La Cala y el Rincón de la Victoria, en un acantilado de roca caliza y a unos 400 metros de la playa, se encuentra la «Cueva de la Victoria», lat. N. O.0 36' 43", Long. W. 36.° 43' 4 " (lámina 1), bautizada así por S. Giménez Reina, su descubridor. La localización de la cueva no resulta difícil actualmente: tomando la desviación que conduce desde la carretera nacional Málaga-Almería a la Cueva del Higuerón o del Tesoro, recientemente abierta al turismo, llegamos a la mencionada cueva, que se encuentra a unos 100 m. de la que nos ocupa. La boca natural (foto 1), situada al borde mismo dea macizo kárstico, se encuentra situada a unos diez metros de un poste metálico del tendido eléctrico.
