Abstract
La Física es la ciencia que estudia los entes naturales. En el caso de la física aristotélica, hablamos de los entes móviles en tanto que móviles, es decir, en todos aquellos aspectos que explican los distintos tipos de movimiento de que son capaces: generación, corrupción, alteración y movimiento locativo. Entre los aspectos relevantes de esta investigación el más sobresaliente son los principios o causas de esos movimientos. De este problema se ocupa el estagirita en los libros I y II de la Física, pero no es hasta el libro II que introduce la noción de causa a partir de la definición de naturaleza como causa y principio.1 El razonamiento consiste en mostrar que naturaleza no es un término unívoco: se dice naturaleza de la forma de un ente natural, de su materia prima, de su principio e incluso se dice que la naturaleza es fin. Estos cuatro serán los sentidos de causa explicitados en Física II 3. La propuesta de este trabajo es mostrar de qué manera se vincula este tratamiento con el desarrollado en la ética.
