Abstract
Ce travail tentera de démontrer l’importance de la prise en charge de la dyslipidémie des patients souffrant de maladie coronarienne athérosclérotique. Nous examinerons tout d’abord la physiopathologie cardiovasculaire dans le contexte de la présence d’une dyslipidémie, puis détaillerons le plan de traitement tel que recommandé par la Société canadienne de cardiologie. Nous présenterons une revue de la littérature sur le traitement de la dyslipidémie en prévention secondaire et soulèverons les bénéfices ainsi que les obstacles potentiels à un tel traitement. Ceci permettra au clinicien d’avoir une approche globale et favoriser la prise en charge du risque attribuable à la dyslipidémie chez les patients souffrant de maladie coronarienne athérosclérotique
