Abstract
Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli tarkastella koulukiusaamista vanhempien näkökulmasta. Tarkastelu keskittyi vanhempien kokemuksiin liittyen koulun henkilökunnan kanssa tapahtuneeseen yhteistyöhön ja vuorovaikutukseen kiusaamistapauksia selvitettäessä. Lisäksi tarkasteltiin vanhempien kokemuksia koulun toimenpiteistä kiusaamistapauksen ratkaisemiseksi. Tutkimus toteutettiin kvalitatiivisia menetelmiä käyttäen. Tutkimuksen aineisto kerättiin puolistrukturoidulla teemahaastattelulla. Lisäksi aineistoa täydennettiin sähköpostin kautta kerätyillä kirjoitelmilla. Aineisto koostui kymmenestä haastattelusta ja kolmesta kirjoitelmasta. Tutkimuksessa käytetty analyysi toteutettiin aineistolähtöisellä sisällönanalyysilla. Tutkimuksen tulokset painottuivat voimakkaasti negatiivisiin kokemuksiin ja erilaisiin koulun ja kodin välisiin vuorovaikutusten ongelmiin. Suurin osa vanhemmista raportoi erilaisia vuorovaikutuksen ja viestinnän ongelmia. Monet vanhemmista kokivat myös, että koulun käyttämät toimenpiteet kiusaamistilanteen ratkaisemiseksi olivat joko riittämättömiä tai täysin toimimattomia. Tutkimuksessa paljastui monia huolestuttavia ilmiöitä. Niiden tiedostaminen voi auttaa kehittämään kodin ja koulun vuorovaikutusta. Tämän tutkimuksen pohjalta voidaan todeta, että vanhempien näkökulma kiusaamiseen on selkeästi aihe, joka vaatii jatkotutkimusta.
