Abstract
This is one of a series of interviews initially completed (circa 1995) by the Milton Historical Society (http://miltonhistoricalsociety.ca) as part of the production of the book "Milton Remembers WWII 1939-1945". The date commemorated the 50th anniversary of the end of WWII. Ten years later (circa 2005) a series of new interviews were completed to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII. Several veterans of Milton and the surrounding community were interviewed by MHS staff to document their experiences in Milton, their service to Canada (or other allied force) and the impact that this had on their life. This is the interview of RCAF Pilot Bert Walton who spent his wartime career as an Air Crew Instructor, at the young age of 20 years. Canada was the leading Allied Training facilitator during the war, as it had the resources and flight area that was critical to the flight training programs. This interview was conducted by Anne Taylor on February 8, 2006.
