Abstract
Cílem této bakalářské práce je popis zásadních změn, které s sebou přinesla náboženská reformace faraona Amenhotepa IV. Práce je rozdělena na tři velké oddíly. V prvním z nich je nastíněn starověký Egypt: a to v první řadě jeho historie a polyteistický náboženský systém. Pozornost je zde zaměřena především na mnohotvárnost egyptského panteonu a popis charakterní i fyzické podoby božstev. Druhá část je určena popisu samotné náboženské reformace, kdy dochází k odklonu od původního polyteistického náboženského systému, který je nahrazeno monoteismem. Bůh, který je v tomto období prosazován jako ten jediný pravý, je Aton. V tomto oddíle je tedy tomuto božstvu věnována dlouhá pasáž. Jsou zde vylíčeni i faraon Amenhotep IV. a jeho královská manželka Nefertiti, kteří se o náboženský převrat zasloužili. Zmíněny jsou i samozřejmě další změny, které se k tomuto období pojí. Poslední část práce je pak zaměřena na období, které nastalo po smrti královského páru. Důraz je zde kladen na vysvětlení pozvolného návratu k původnímu panteonu egyptských božstev. Po výčtu hlavních změn, které nastaly při této pozoruhodné reformaci, je patrné, že se toto období řadí mezi nejpřevratnější okamžiky starověkého Egypta.
