Abstract
Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir os novos movimentos migratórios atrelados à atividade industrial desenvolvida nas cidades médias. Para tanto, o recorte será dado à migração de trabalhadores industriais, vinculados ao ramo alimentício de consumo final, no qual exercem suas funções laborais na cidade de Marília/ SP. Dada a configuração de redes técnicas materiais e imateriais e a elaboração de políticas setoriais, a produção industrial tem se dispersado pelo território, gerando assim movimentos de capital, de mercadoria, de informações e de trabalhadores. Cada vez mais, notamos que as cidades médias têm se inserido em circuitos produtivos complexos, em que as relações inter e multiescalares são desenhadas entre os agentes vinculados às diversas fases da produção globalizada. Tais movimentos geográficos necessitam ser lidos na perspectiva de compreender as novas dinâmicas territoriais em curso no período atual.
