Abstract
A novice fossil collector's find in a remote Montana badlands more than a decade ago has emerged as a new kind of spectacularly-horned dinosaur. Like Triceratops, the dino was a plant-eater, approximately 15-feet long and weighing up to four tons. A new species of horned dinosaur has been confirmed in Montana.AP's Matthew Brown tells us, the bones that led to the discovery were unearthed in the remote badlands of Winifred in 2005.He says it has a name that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, so Canadian researchers have given it a nickname.Brown says they've also been able to determine how the pre-historic creature likely met its demise.He says the discovery of the bone has led to a good deal of excitement for what they have and what they might find next.Along with the leg bone, they ended up finding half of Judith's skull and more of its legs, hips and backbone.And scientists think she was about 10 years old when she died.
