Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli ymmärtää Tampereen opiskelijoiden ostokäyttäytymistä, jotta toimeksiantaja saisi työkaluja kehittää opiskelijamarkkinointiaan. Tarkoituksena oli tutkia, miten opiskelijat hyödyntävät opiskelijaetuja ja alennuksia. Lisäksi haluttiin selvittää, minkä suuruiset edut houkuttelevat ja tavoittavat opiskelijat sekä minkä suuruisia etuja ja alennuksia opiskelijat toivoisivat saavansa. Kyselytutkimuksen saatujen tuloksien tarkoituksena oli luoda visuaalinen materiaali tukemaan toimeksiantajan myyntiä ja markkinointia. Toimeksiantajana opinnäytetyölle toimi Opiskelijan Tampere ry. \n \nTyön teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä käsitellään opiskelijan ostokäyttäytymistä ja ostoprosessiin vaikuttavia tekijöitä sekä miten digimarkkinointi, sosiaalinen media, hinta ja asiakaslähtöisyys vaikuttavat markkinointiin. Opinnäytetyöhön liittyvä tutkimus toteutettiin kyselytutkimuksena Google Forms alustalla ja kyselyn linkkiä jaettiin toimeksiantajan sekä yhteistyöjärjestöjen kanavissa Tampereen korkeakouluopiskelijoille. Opinnäytetyön määrällinen tutkimusaineisto kerättiin 15.10–5.11.2022 välisenä aikana ja kyselyyn vastasi 77 opiskelijaa. \n \nTutkimuksesta saatujen tuloksien mukaan eniten rahaa opiskelijoilla kuluu kahviloihin ja ravintoloihin. Muotiin sekä kulttuuriin ja vapaa-ajan viettoon kuluu keskimäärin 50–100 € kuukaudessa. Eniten opiskelija-alennuksia hyödynnetään ruokaan, julkiseen liikenteeseen sekä junamatkoihin ja 74 % opiskelijoista valitsevat tuotteen ja paikan alennuksien saatavuuden perusteella. Tuloksien perusteella yrityksien tulisi tarjota opiskelijoille 15–20 % alennusta, sillä 10 % alennus koettiin liian vähäiseksi. Opiskelijat kertoivat myös lähtöhinnalla olevan vaikutusta alennuksen houkuttelevuuteen. \n \nOpinnäytetyöllä haluttiin kehittää Opiskelijan Tampereen myyntiä ja saatujen tuloksien pohjalta pystyttiin luomaan myyntiä tukeva esite ja perusteluita opiskelijaetujen kehittämiseen.
