Abstract
SAMMANFATTNING Bakgrund: I dagsläget finns en stor kunskapsbank gällande fysioterapeutiska insatser och deras effekt kopplade till barn och ungdomars hälsa.Skolfysioterapeuter är däremot få i Sverige och kunskapen rörande deras kompetens och roll är i dagsläget begränsad.Därav finns det ett behov av förtydligande gällande deras arbete i svenska skolor.Syfte: Syftet var att utforska och beskriva fysioterapeuters upplevelser och erfarenheter av att arbeta inom en skolorganisation.Metod: Studien är en kvalitativ intervjustudie baserad på sju semistrukturerade intervjuer med fysioterapeuter från olika kommuner som arbetar/har arbetat inom skolan i Sverige.Intervjuerna utfördes under perioden november 2022januari 2023 och spelades in, transkriberades samt analyserades med en induktiv ansats genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys i enlighet med Graneheim & Lundman.Resultat: Studien presenterar resultatet utifrån tre kategorier, Fysioterapeutens roll, Interaktion och Utmaningar med tillhörande underkategorier.Konklusion: Studien påvisar att insatserna upplevs ha en positiv inverkan på elever, lärare samt den allmänna skolorganisationen.Fysioterapeuternas erfarenhet tydliggör att de har en roll att fylla i skolan genom bidrag och fokus riktat mot bland annat preventiva åtgärder.Det identifieras dock ett fortsatt behov av utveckling inom arbetet samt vidare forskning kring fysioterapeutiska insatser och interventioner i skolan.
