L'organisation de l'aviation civile internationale (OACI) organise chaque trois ans une Assemblée générale dont le but est entre autres, d'étudier les grandes questions relatives au Développement des services aériens et à la coordination des règlementations aéronautiques au niveau mondial. Tous les Etats contractants sont invités à participer aux Travaux des sessions plénières de même que certaines organisations.
