Abstract
In 2009 Stanford University initiated the Gendered Innovations project to stimulate the use of sex and gender as resources to improve innovation in science and technology. Part of this project included the creation of a website. The website was designed to provide scientists with the necessary tools to incorporate sex and gender into their research processes. This article reviews the health and medicine aspects of the Gendered Innovations website and discusses practical and theoretical implications for current research.
