"Este artículo busca revisar algunos conceptosde la promoción de la salud, con el fin deorientar las acciones para los que trabajamos enSalud Mental. Desde la Carta de Ottawa se handeterminado nuevos referentes que pueden contribuiren forma significativa al desarrollo de lasalud como concreción del bienestar humano.La propuesta consiste en dar una visión más integradade la salud mental a través de la revisiónde las definiciones que algunas institucioneshan planteado y suscrito y que puedan servircomo herramienta para desarrollar profesionalesque busquen promover, en nuestro país, condicionesmás sanas, más dignas, con mayorequidad y justicia social: con mayor y mejor calidadde vida. Que puedan pensar que esto puedeser más que un sueño."
