Abstract
Kasvattajien käsitykset lapsen sosioemotionaalisesta tuen tarpeesta usein vaih-televat. Tutkimuksessa sosioemotionaalisella tuen tarpeella tarkoitettiin lapsen voimakkaita tunteenpurkauksia, ylivilkkautta ja aggressiivisuutta riippumatta mahdollisesta diagnoosista. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää, miten vanhemmat rakentavat puheellaan perheen arkea sosioemotionaalista tukea tarvitsevan lapsen kanssa ja millaisia identiteettejä vanhemmille muodostuu lasten tuen tarpeisiin vastaamisessa. Aineisto koostui kahdeksan vanhemman haastattelusta. Tutkimuksen analyysia oli ohjaamassa tieteenfilosofisena lähtö-kohtana sosiaalinen konstruktionismi ja tutkimuksen analyyttisenä viitekehyk-senä oli diskurssianalyysi. Tulokset osoittivat vanhempien kertovan arjesta sosioemotionaalista tukea tarvitsevan lapsen kanssa useilla erilaisilla puhetavoilla. Aineistosta tunnistet-tiin ja nimettiin draama-, asiantuntemus-, poikkeavuus-, osallisuus-, osatto-muus- ja tutkiskelupuhe. Näistä asiantuntemuspuhe ja draamapuhe osoittau-tuivat hallitseviksi puhetavoiksi. Vanhemmille rakentui lapsen tuen tarpeisiin vastaamisessa vastuullisen olosuhteiden uhrin, aikakauden kasvatusihanteita tiedostavan pohtijan, lapsen puolestapuhujan ja lapsen kanssa arjesta nauttijan ja aktiivisesti arkea mukauttajan identiteetit. Tutkimus osoitti, että puhetapojen ideologisena seurauksena voi olla suvaitsevuuden lisääntyminen sosioemotio-naalista tukea tarvitsevien lasten perheiden arkea kohtaan ja että kulttuuriset ihanteet vaikuttavat tuen tarpeisiin vastaamisessa.
