Abstract
L'objet de l'étude consiste à comparer l'activité de jeu de 13 enfants abusés sexuellement à celle de 13 enfants nonabusés, afin d'évaluer les séquelles psychologiques de l'abus sexuel. Les enfants abusés, recrutés principalement en collaboration avec le CPEJ-Québec et lés CLSC de la région de Québec à la suite d'allégations d'abus sexuel, sont pairés au niveau du sexe et de l'âge aux enfants non-abusés Ces derniers sont recrutés principalement dans les garderies du campus universitaire et sont sélectionnés en fonction de l'absence de perturbations psychologiques. Les deux groupes sont de plus similaires au niveau démographique (état civil et revenu). Chaque enfant est rencontré à deux reprises et l'un des enregistrements vidéo des séances de jeu libre est choisi au hasard pour constituer le matériel de l'étude. L'activité de jeu est cotée fidèlement à l'aide des échelles de segmentation, de catégories de jeu, de thèmes de jeu, de formes de cessation de jeu et de qualité des relations d'objet du CPTI (Children Play Therapy Instrument, Kernberg, Chazan, Normandin, 1994).
