Abstract
Mitä maanpuolustustahto on tarkoittanut voimavarana Suomen puolustuspoliittisessa ajattelussa? Miten maanpuolustustahto ilmiönä liittyy siihen, mitä tahto oikein merkitsee aseellisessa konfliktissa? Teoksessa analysoidaan tahtoa ilmiönä Suomen historian kautta. Teoksessa luodaan kuva itsenäisen Suomen tapahtumiin 1920-luvulta vuoteen 2022 ja perehdytään poliittisen kielenkäytön välityksellä ilmiöön, joka on ollut, ja todennäköisesti myös tulee olemaan, Suomen puolustuspolitiikalle tärkeä asia.
