Abstract

W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki eksperymentu polega­jącego na wprowadzeniu sześciogodzinnego dnia pracy dla pielęgniarek w domu opieki w Svartedalen (Göteborg), jak również inne rozwiązania skracające tygodniowy czas pracy w Szwecji. Wskazano przesłanki i efekty dokonywanych zmian i dokonano oceny perspektyw skracania czasu pracy. W eksperymencie w Svartedalen potwierdzono pozytywny wpływ redukcji czasu pracy na zdrowie pracowników i godzenie obowiązków zawodowych z pozazawodowymi, nie udokumentowano natomiast zależności między redukcją czasu pracy a wydajnością pracy. Przeprowadzona dyskusja prowadzi do wniosku, że skracaniu czasu pracy w Szwecji sprzyjał model instytucjonalny, a w kolejnych latach czas pracy może być skracany w drodze inicjatyw lokalnych.
