DOI:10.1590/2179-8966/2019/36759Resumo O presente artigo apresenta uma análise crítica acerca da interpretação do pensamento de Karl Marx realizado pelo autor canadense Moishe Postone em sua obra Tempo, trabalho e dominação social. A discussão centra-se na maneira pela qual Postone reconstrói de maneira peculiar a crítica da economia política marxiana - principalmente os conceitos de trabalho, classe e sujeito - e como, ao fazê-lo, o autor cria impasses e incoerências na sua tentativa de renovar a teoria crítica de Marx. Abstract This article presents a critical analysis about the interpretation of the thought of Karl Marx conducted by Canadian author Moishe Postone in his work Time, Labor and Social Domination. The discussion centers on the way in which Postone reconstructs in a peculiar way the critique of Marxian political economy - mainly the concepts of labor, class and subject - and how, in doing so, the author creates impasses and inconsistencies in his attempt to renew Marx’s critical theory.
