Abstract
The purpose of this study was to survey the counselling services of British Columbia secondary schools. The following questions were considered: (1) How many qualified, unqualified, full-time, and part-time counsellors are employed in British Columbia secondary schools? (2) What standardized tests are used for evaluating students interests, intelligence, and academic achievement? (3) What means, if any, are used by the schools surveyed to identify gifted students, and what provisions are being made to fulfill their needs? (4) What is the general rating of comprehensiveness of the individual inventory and counselling services in British Columbia secondary schools?
