Abstract
The paper analyzes the distribution of 137Cs in the ecosystem consisting of the bog bilberry–labrador tea–sphagnous pine forest in Ukraine’s Central Polissya. It has been proved that the 137Cs highest specific activity is typical of the layer of the semi- decomposed sphagnous residues at the depth of 15–20 cm. With respect to the mean- weighed value of 137Cs specific activity, the components of the phytocenosis form the following range: mushroom layer > grass-dwarf- shrub > moss layer > lichen layer > undergrowth > tree canopy.
