Тези присвячені творчій спадщині видатного громадського діяча, дисидента, члена Української Гельсінської Спілки Данила Шумука. У центрі уваги – його спогади, написані у період після еміграції з СРСР до Канади. Розглянуті мемуарні твори подають не лише важливі відомості про життя автора, але є також цінним джерелом до історії дисидентського руху в Українській РСР. Спогади представлені у вигляді опублікованих окремих книг, статей у низці діаспорних видань, машинописних текстів. Значна частина перелічених матеріалів зберігається у фондах Любомльського краєзнавчого музею на Волині \n(The author examines the creative heritage of outstanding public figure and dissident, member of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group Danylo Shumuk. In the focus of attention, there are his memoirs, written in the aftermath of emigration from the USSR to Canada. Considered memoirs serve not only as important sources of information about the Shumuk's life, but are also a valuable source to study the history of the dissident movement in the Ukrainian SSR. Memories are published as separate books, articles in several publications of diaspora and typewritten texts. Many materials are stored in the funds of Liubomlskyi museum in Volyn.)
