Este estudo tem como objetivo adaptar culturalmente e realizar um pré-teste, para posterior validação da Escala de Cicatrização de Vancouver para a população portuguesa, em contexto clínico. A posterior validação da escala para a população portuguesa permitirá padronizar a avaliação de cicatrizes entre utentes portugueses, facilitando a comunicação entre profissionais de saúde e a comparação da eficácia de diferentes tratamentos. A metodologia adotou uma abordagem fenomenológica mista, descritiva, observacional e transversal. Foi realizada a adaptação cultural da Escala de Cicatrização de Vancouver para o português europeu, seguida de um pré-teste com profissionais de saúde, utilizando um painel Delphi para garantir a equivalência semântica e a relevância cultural dos itens. Os resultados preliminares sugerem que a escala é uma ferramenta eficaz para a avaliação de utentes portugueses com cicatrizes em contextos clínicos variados. Como conclusão do estudo, pode-se inferir que a validação da escala é essencial para padronizar a avaliação de cicatrizes, melhorando a comunicação entre profissionais de saúde e possibilitando comparações precisas de tratamentos. A continuidade do estudo, com a realização da terceira fase, é recomendada para confirmar a consistência da escala ao longo do tempo e em diferentes contextos clínicos.
