La recherche présentée dans cet ouvrage vise à concevoir un modèle de SIG adapté à la\ndynamique et aux dimensions collaboratives formelles du processus de design urbain\ndélibératif. Le prototype développé vise également à saisir les représentations spatiales\ncréées et échangées au cours du processus, mais aussi à proposer une représentation\ncartographique de la dynamique du processus. La conception et le développement du SIG\nest basé sur deux séries d’observations réalisées dans le cadre de deux ateliers de design\nurbain offerts par la Faculté d’architecture de l’Université Laval durant les sessions d’hiver\net d’automne 2005. Nous présentons dans un premier temps les éléments du problème.\nNous précisons ensuite la démarche méthodologique de recherche engagée de manière à\nsituer la réflexion présentée. Plus loin nous décrivons les procédures de recherche. Nous\nprésentons enfin les principaux résultats de cette recherche.
