Abstract
El projecte investiga si és possible la reordenació de tota una illa en un dels barris més consolidats de Barcelona a través de la inoculació d'equipaments d'escala de ciutat i de barri. Es presenta la creació d'un sistema que resol tres problemàtiques presents en l'emplaçament. La primera es l'adequació de l'illa estudiada, tenint en compte els nous paradigmes urbans. La segona es combatre la hiper-consolidació del barri, permetent futures oportunitats urbanes a través de la implantació d'un sistema tipològic exportable, reversible i de-construïble. La tercera es abastir la creixent demanda de necessitats socials a través de la creació d'un equipament que es desenvolupa en extensió horitzontal, que aprofita les oportunitats i es fusiona amb el teixit existent, tot creant una nova comunitat multi-social en el centre de Gràcia (Barcelona).
