Abstract
Le tourisme fabrique des vitrines attractives. Celle du Nunavik est constituée d’un chapelet de villages et de vastes parcs nationaux en cours de création, avec des archétypes paysagers brandis par les guides touristiques et les portails Internet. À travers l’exemple du projet du parc national Tursujuq, sur la côte est de la baie d’Hudson, nous montrerons l’envers du décor du point de vue des habitants autochtones riverains. Terrains, concours photographique et atelier de dessin pour enfants dans la communauté d’Umiujaq attestent en effet de représentations paysagères autres. Cette approche participante pourrait s’avérer un outil aux projets de parcs ou autres aménagements de ces territoires en pleine mutation, tout autant qu’elle a accru la sensibilisation des habitants à l’environnement par la beauté de leurs paysages.
