Samantha Jackson and Farzin Yousefian were moved by pictures of Syrian refugees and decided against having a big wedding. Buzzfeed says, instead, they got married at Toronto City hall and asked their guests to donate to the refugee charities instead of giving them wedding gifts. Between the donations from friends, family raised 17 thousand 5 hundred dollars for the charities.
