Abstract

ABSTRACT: The increase in global energy consumption, including the burning of fossil fuels, which increases the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, results from the development of the world’s population and human activity. This challenge drives the scientific community to develop technologies and methods to convert and store CO2. Converting CO2 into hydrocarbons is a method that would allow the production of low-carbon footprint fuels. Jet fuel synthesis alone would reduce global CO2 emissions by 2%. It is a solution that uses renewable electricity generated in Quebec to transform atmospheric CO2 into CO using the Reverse Water-Gas Shift reaction and then turns the CO into jet fuel via the Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis. The 4 objectives of the project allow to demonstrate that Cu can replace noble metals as promoters to increase the performance of the catalyst. The first objective was to synthesize catalysts with Co Nanoparticles (NPs) doped with Cu NPs to evaluate the effect of Cu on the conversion of syngas (H2 and CO) into jet fuel. The second objective was identifying the optimal wt % of Cu doped on the catalyst to maximize CO conversion and C5+ paraffin production while minimizing CH4 formation. The third objective was to establish a relationship between the physicochemical properties of the catalysts and their conversion. The fourth objective was to model, using the obtained results, a computer model allowing to identify the optimal wt % of Cu to impregnate to maximize the production of C5+ paraffin.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
