Abstract
El cáncer de mama es una patología que actualmente tiene un alto impacto sobre la salud de la población colombiana. Se sabe que esta enfermedad no solo afecta países en desarrollo sino también a la mayoría de los países a nivel mundial. En el presente documento se tratara el Cáncer de Mama en el Departamento del Valle del Cauca. Para hablar sobre la temática se abordara desde la historia natural de la enfermedad que tiene dos periodos importantes uno pre-patogénico y otro patogénico. Así mismo se hará un análisis sobre el comportamiento de la enfermedad durante los últimos 10 años. Para esta actividad se utilizara información de graficas dadas por los diferentes entes de salud como el Ministerio de Salud, la Gobernación del Valle del Cauca, Alcaldía de Cali, específicamente; argumentando el proceso de la enfermedad tanto a nivel Mundial como Nacional. Se dará a conocer los programas de promoción y prevención establecidos por los diversos Entes e Instituciones de Salud Nacional y Local.
