Déplacements quotidiens et autosolisme à Montréal : une approche par les pratiques sociales

Abstract
L’autosolisme ou la pratique de l’auto-solo correspond à l’utilisation individuelle d’une voiture. Cette pratique de déplacement la plus répandue à Montréal est étudiée ici par les théories des pratiques sociales. Selon ces théories, une pratique est soutenue par des arrangements matériels, des routines et compétences, et des structures de signification. Cet article étudie ces composantes de la pratique de l’auto-solo, leurs interactions et l’évolution potentielle de cette pratique grâce à une enquête par questionnaire réalisée au sein de la Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal au début de 2020 auprès d’autosolistes. Au total, 345 personnes ont répondu à l’entièreté du questionnaire.
